Circles & Crop Patterns

Research:

My research always starts with latest journals, books and the internet, as we can find enormous information and knowledge available around the world. It keeps us connected, allows us to practically study the medium to all its pros and cons, gather the possible information and analyse them to the fullest.

The inspiration behind my work are few artists who I follow the most, as their medium speaks more about them in depth. I will reveal and talk about their work in my further pages. Circle the chosen form, led me to diverse paths and also confusing me at a point as there is a lot researched and to be researched. This form can express itself in different states and platforms and is also used in most of the artefacts. The role of 3D and 2D also implies, but I prefer 2D as a comfortable podium to work.

The software I use is Adobe Creative Suite, which makes designs visualy appealing, communicable and adds life to my work. Hand drawn illustration and repetition produces a series of patterns which looks visually outspoken and turns illusive a time. On the path of reference I came across cropping in a website and questioned to see the circular shape used as a cropping medium or as a tool. The same was found when a part of an image was to be highlighted, a circular ring was used. Porn images, due to the explicit content were cropped or blurred in a circular format. The concept behind it exited me and put me to an experimental state where I started cropping and highlighting the functional identity of the image. Meanwhile, the research on the pattern led me to the study of kaleidoscopic patterns, tha gives reflective images with basic forms & shapes. This project has made an effort to explore a different methodology of designs in its individual aspect, by clubbing both research material and a practical analysis to the best of my knowledge, towards a different outcome.
